Eugénia Moura
Eugénia Moura studied piano with Alberto Gomes, Almeida Garrett, Carolina Pimentel, Teresa Xavier, Fernando Jorge Azevedo, Helena Sá e Costa and, during master classes, with Sequeira Costa, Winifred Wolf and Vlado Perlemutter, at Portugal and Mozarteum, Salzburg. She received a Diploma from Porto Music Conservatory, a Diploma in History from Porto University, a Master in Music from Boston University and a DEA in Music History and Musicology from Sorbonne University. She had scholarships from Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Portuguese Ministry of Education and Viana do Castelo Polytechnic Institute.
She was the Music Coordinator and teacher at the Arts Department of Viana do Castelo Polytechnic Institute, where she developed the first Music Education Master, in Portugal, as a partnership with Surrey University-Roehampton Institute of Education. Her professional experience was developed also with several collaborations with Higher Music Education Institutions and Professional Music Education and as Piano Teacher at several Music Conservatoires. She wrote several articles for Art and Music Journals, at Portugal and Brazil. As a pianist she does concerts as soloist and in Chamber Music, at Portugal, Spain, Austria, France and Morocco, giving great importance to the Portuguese repertoire. She has several participation as a Jury in Portuguese and French Piano Competitions and as an Artist Director of Music Festivals and other projects.
