Yolande Kouznetsov
Born in France, into a family of pianists from Russia, Yolande Kouznetsov took her first steps in music with her mother, Svetlana Eganian, who followed her throughout her career as a teacher, then as a stage partner.
She joined the Regional Conservatory, then the Higher Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon (France), where she obtained her Master’s Degree as a musical performer, musical pedagogue and earned the Competence Certificate for the Teaching of Piano.
Amongst Yolande's teachers, many musical personalities may be found: Pierre Pontier, Edson Elias, Marie-Claude Aboulker, Sergei Kouznetsov, Florent Boffard, Jean Claude Pennetier and Pascal Devoyon.
Young Ms Kouznetsov is regularly invited to international music festivals as a soloist and for duos alongside Svetlana Eganian. She has given numerous concerts with Bryansk Governor’s Symphonic Orchestra (Russia) and its conductor, Edward Ambartsumyan. In their repetoire the following may be found; Gershwin's concerto in F, Mozart's double concerto [with Svetlana Eganian as co-soloist], Shostakovich's first piano concerto and Rachmaninoff's 4th piano Concerto.
Rewarded several times in international piano competitions, she recently added 1st prize in addition to a special prize at the Cantù International Piano Competition (May 2019, Italy).
A versatile artist, Yolande teaches and composes.
Those compositions are published by H. Lemoine-Delrieu and Soldano.
She has combined her skills as a composer and her other talent as an illustrator by having created two humour-filled cartoons and educational concerts, given during those events intended for the younger audiences.
She is Co-Artistic Director - with Svetlana Eganian - of Lyon’s International Piano Competition, a major event in this French city that takes place every year at the beginning of July.
